For those who intend start work in the manufacturing business. The “Performing Manufacturing Operations” NVQ is the key component of the apprenticeship and is very flexible and versatile. It covers core aspects common to all manufacturing operations, but then provides a varied range of options to choose from. These options are specified generically and can be applied to any manufacturing process across a diverse range of industries.

All programmes are discussed and agreed by all parties at the commencement of the apprenticeship. A technical certificate will be required and specialist courses and training may be included in the programme.

Key Skills are an essential part of the apprenticeship, but where a young person may have difficulty in completing any part of the apprenticeship, then they may be able to work towards an NVQ level 1 in Manufacturing instead.
