MAPS - About Us

Management and Personnel Services Ltd (MAPS) is a privately owned company founded in 1991 and based in Luton which concentrates purely on training and in-service education. MAPS is predominantly a work based learning provider focussing on Luton, Central Bedfordshire, Bedford Borough and the East of England, although we also take on apprentices and learners in the London area, and will consider other areas.

Programmes include Apprenticeships and Advanced Apprenticeships that are funded through the Skills Funding Agency under the National Apprenticeship Service (100% for 16-18 year olds, up to 50% for 19+) and Train to Gain (up to 50% for 19+). Courses are offered in Childcare, Health and Social Care, Pharmacy, Customer Service, ICT, Engineering, Manufacturing and Security.

MAPS work closely with employers to deliver these programmes in the workplace at times convenient to both the employer and staff being developed. Progression from Apprenticeship to Advanced Apprenticeship is the traditional route and can even lead to university placements for certain job roles.

In-service provision is available in first aid, food hygiene, safeguarding, and various aspects of security (e.g. S.I.A. accreditation, conflict management & cash in transit) these are outlined more fully on other parts of the website.

The Senior Management Team consists of a Chief Executive, Managing Director, Director of Operations and Head of Childcare. These are supported by 13 Assessors, a Learning Support Assistant, Finance Officer and Office Administration staff.

We have over 300 learners on our books at the moment and offer courses to suit young people as well as adults.

As a company we recognise the importance of investment and are constantly striving to enhance the quality of the provision we offer. We have recently opened a new training room and refurbished our other training suites. We have updated our ICT equipment and installed Smart-boards in our classrooms. We want the best environment possible for our learners.
